About This Site

Orleans County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service for locating the public offices and official tools connected to an arrest, booking, or court case in Orleans County, New York. It does not host photographs, roster entries, or court files. Instead, it distinguishes the Orleans County Jail and county FOIL route from village police records, state custody tools, and court disposition records.

Our Records-Access Focus

We organize the official routes that can answer different record questions. The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office and Orleans County Jail are the local starting points for county-held booking material. The researched county pages do not provide a public roster or booking-photo viewer, so a focused county FOIL request is often more useful than looking for a nonexistent live search. Village police departments may hold their own incident records, while the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision serves a different purpose for state custody. Courts, not booking entries, establish a case disposition.

Information Kept Here

The site is designed to make the lines between those systems easier to see. Its record-access material includes:

  • the county’s FOIL, jail, Sheriff, and court paths for a particular booking or record request;
  • the difference between current local custody, DOCCS state custody, federal custody, and immigration custody;
  • the official warrant list and a safety-focused route for reporting information;
  • village-specific contacts for Medina, Albion, and Holley, where a local agency may hold the originating incident file; and
  • the New York sealing and disposition resources that may affect the availability of a record or photograph.

Limits of This Service

This is an independently run reference site. It is not connected with the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office, Orleans County Jail, DOCCS, a court, or another government office. We cannot release or move a person in custody, post bond, schedule a visit, retrieve an official file, or give legal advice. Addresses, contact details, and agency procedures can change, so official sources remain the authority.

  • Only the responsible public office can confirm present custody or a release.
  • Only the issuing court can provide the final disposition of a criminal case.
  • Only the records custodian can decide whether a requested file is available, sealed, redacted, or exempt.
  • Charges at booking are allegations and may be reduced, dismissed, or resolved in court.

For a current answer, contact the originating agency or court directly. An arrest report, a booking record, and a court outcome are separate records.

Search-Partner Disclosure

Some pages include a search box operated by an outside provider. That provider controls its own results, terms, and pricing. If a visitor chooses a paid partner service after using a referral link, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps maintain the reference material, but it does not change the source of any official record or give us control over a partner’s search results.
